The I-Rune
Self
You are the starting point for improving yourself, your life,
and your world. These Runes are designed to help you do just that --
use the Runes to get to know yourself better, decide what improvements
you want to make, and make those improvements a reality. By creating a
better Self you set an example others may follow, and do your part to
bring about a better world for us all.
Individuality
Your sense of
Individuality is an illusion -- a persistent and powerful illusion.
It gives you the perception and feeling of separation, but it also
enables you to experience life from a unique perspective and in unique
ways. Embrace the paradox -- revel in both the uniqueness of your
Limited Self and in the knowledge that behind the illusion of your
Individuality your Limited Self is naught but a ripple in your eternal
Limitless Self, like a wave on the ocean. You likely have a need to
feel important and significant as an Individual -- this is natural.
Rather than strive for greater importance and significance begin by
realizing that your existance already has made an impact on other
people -- know that you are already both important and significant to
the unfolding of the universe.
Awareness
Awareness is a
powerful ability. What you direct your Awareness to will determine who
you become and how you behave. TV advertisers know this -- they spend
millions of dollars on TV commercials to hijack your awareness so you
will buy their products. It's your Awareness -- take responsibility for
it, take control of it, and make use of it. Use your Awareness to
illuminate your Journey
through life, instead of sleepwalking through it. Also, take time and
use your Awareness to
properly feed your mind empowering thoughts and ideas.
Initiative
Instead of going on
the Journey of life merely reacting to circumstances, take the
Initiative -- decide who you want to be and what you want your life to
be like and make it happen.
